The New York Times Paper Cuts blog asks local columnist Meghan Daum about her playlist, and surprisingly enough, her responses are genuinely interesting and fun. Why doesn’t she write like this for the LA Times? Why doesn’t the LA Times do a feature like this? Oh, right.
We’d niggle that no way is Victoria Williams more interesting than Lucinda Williams, but Daum’s choices are far less predictable and pretentious than some of her predecessors, by which we mean Kenneth Goldsmith.
