The basketball bender–quite literally–that is the NBA All-Star weekend has arrived in Los Angeles. The sports media never covers this event as the Caligulan romp it is, but tweets about the debauched nature of the event are flying fast and furious. Anyone unfamiliar with the exact nature of the hijinks that are about to befall this city should read Karrine “Superhead” Steffans’ Confessions of a Video Vixen. That all said, with the game in LA this year, something tells us we’re going to get a slightly different take on the event from your typical media coverage. No need to rely solely on Superhead for unadulterated truth when TMZ is in town. Should be interesting.

Not that they’re at all related, but we’re told Kobe Bryant will be throwing his first All-Star party this Saturday at BOULEVARD3 to celebrate getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Keep it clean, Kobe! Actually, when did we become such Puritans? Do what feels right.
