Page Six’s Richard Johnson Will Soon Be One Of Us

Insisting to his readers, “No tears, please. This is not a demotion”, “Page Six” gossip editor Richard Johnson penned his farewell column today in the New York Post.

“It’s been a great run — despite my feuds with a Barfly, a Bloviator and an Uberdork, and a couple drinks thrown in my face.”

After 25 years at the Post, Johnson compared himself toLou Gehrig. Which, if we follow through with that comparison, would arguably make Los Angeles a terminal illness. Johnson is moving west to LA to head up an as-of-yet-unexplained “digital venture” for the Post’s parent company News Corp. More details on that as they come out. In the meanwhile, we’ll try to figure out whether or not we’re offended.
