Perez Hilton–Creative Commmons’ New Poster Boy?

All publicity is good publicity: Perez Hilton is being sued by various photo agencies, according to the NY Daily News. Hilton’s been using photos, most recently Britney Spears and her girlie-bits, from Splash, INF, Ramey, Bauer-Griffin, WENN, Most Wanted and Flynet, without payment or credit.

But calling his site–”Hollywood’s Most-Hated Web Site”–boy howdy! He must be thrilled.

He’s got a credit up for the Britney shots:

Is Fair Use doctrine going to protect the gossipista? He does alter the shots, and some elastic interpretations cover that use. Perez needs to call Lawrence Lessig.
