Sci-Fi Pin-Ups Came to Life
We were invited to Super Nova A-Go-Go at Comic Con, where beautiful women did a show as Sci-Fi characters. Which was basically a burlesque/nerdy Halloween hybrid. The show was funny, weird and very entertaining.
Spotted in the crowd were David Silverman, director of The Simpsons Movie and Monster’s Inc, Carr D’Angelo owner of Earth II comic book store, winner of last year’s Eisner Award and Dave Avallone who told us he just got back from doing a movie with Heather Graham in Florida.
Super Nova A-Go-Go was a production of Victory Variety Hour and Penny Starr Jr. She has a show Club Schmutzig this Thursday night in Silver Lake at El Cid.
