SoCal Journo Signs Petition to Keep Journalism Local
Len Cutler is the first (and as of this writing, only) name on a petition demanding that MediaNews Group not outsource reporting for the Long Beach Press-Telegram. The petition language follows:
We the undersigned support newsroom employees at the Press-Telegram in their effort to preserve local journalism. We support their stand against corporate owner MediaNews Group’s demand for the unfettered right to outsource any and all editorial work.
The company’s outsourcing strategy will make the product less local and less relevant to us. Our community matters! We deserve a quality local source of reliable information!
