Political Wonk Con Tomorrow at USC
Well, they call it a 'post-election conference'. Not quite as catchy. From their site: The Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics and The USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences, in association with POLITICO, will host a two-day post-election conference featuring top strategists from the Obama and McCain Presidential campaigns, national and state political journalists, and USC student panelists discussing the 2008 Presidential campaign and what it means for the future. Journalists Jonathan Martin, Mike Allen, Mark Barabak, Mark Halperin, John Heilermann, Ben Smith and Jim VandeHei among others will be there. A full schedule is here. FBLA Editor to Read at In the Flesh Tonight
The events happen monthly at Hustler Hollywood, 8920 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, 310-860-9009 at 8pm. It is hosted by Hustler Hollywood's Special Events Host and author, Stan Kent, who also DJs the evening with appropriately smutty music before and after the verbal intercourse. You can check out previous events here. Tuesday Nov 11, 2008

FBLA Walked With Dinosaurs
We went to the Staples Center last night to see Walking With Dinosaurs. We are almost (almost) embarrassed to admit how much we loved this show. It was so cool. The puppetry was astonishing. The storyline was engaging. The T-Rex - EEP - OH MY GOSH - so cool! Plus the part with Noah's Ark was great. Kidding. It was all BBC science. As opposed to the Sarah Palin witch-hunter - the world is 150 years old - science. Anyway, the show is in LA through the weekend. Go here to get tickets. Monday Sep 08, 2008
The Nixon Library in Yorba LindaDid you know that there are some Republicans right here in Southern California? Serious. They're in a place they call 'Orange County' where the freeways are clean and clear as are the children. One place where they all hang out is the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. President Richard Nixon was born there and now it's also where he's buried. We took a tour of it this weekend. Very interesting. And we snapped the photo below: Wednesday Aug 27, 2008
