Sundance Goes Begging
Robert Redford‘s Sundance Film Festival, which not only considers itself the sh– when it comes to nationwide film festivals, is now begging the state of Utah for financial aid, the Salt Lake City Tribune said.
Boohoo, the struggling festival is feeling the nationwide economic crunch becauase its corporate sponsorships are down. Perhaps if the powers that be at Sundance paid more attention to films and less attention to throwing corporate parties for stars and hangers-on, then they wouldn’t be having these troubles.
Maybe this year’s Sundance will be more amenable to everyday human beings that simply like good film. Or maybe Sundance will have to take up polygamy.
