Sunset Magazine Seeks Visionary Travel Editor

File this one under “plum gig.” Sunset magazine is looking for a top-notch travel editor to oversee all travel content for its print and online editions.

In this role, you’ll manage three to five editors, as well as a network of freelancers, while top-editing five regional editions of the monthly Weekend Guide. You’ll also be responsible for special quarterly sections such as Inside San Francisco, Inside Seattle and Inside L.A. You’ll work with the features editor on travel packages, and manage the travel blog for Sunset.com, while occasionally representing the magazine at media events.

To be considered, you’ll need at least 10 years of experience at a print or online magazine with a minimum of five years in a supervisory role. You should be a skilled project manager, who knows how to package information in a fresh, compelling way. Those with unparalleled knowledge of the West and a passion for exploration should apply here.
