GalleyCat continues to get the cream. Denise Brown explains why she changed her mind about appearing on Oprah. Seems the First Lady of the Airwaves made a personal call:

(She) personally called to let me know she would not have done a show with the Goldmans had I not said yes originally….Oprah was nice and she asked me if I read the book or will I be buying it and I said NO. I asked her the same questions and she also said NO.

Denise Brown is holding a press conference to explain why she’s not appearing on Oprah with the Goldman family to discuss If I Did It. Her petition against the publication is still online, too.

Since then, the Goldman’s have retained a publisher who is rushing the book to market as we speak.And thus, has made the show a mute point for me.

If only they’d all go mute.
