Former TMZ-ers Gillian Sheldon and Alan Citron have yet another website to watch over at BUZZMEDIA, their expansive Hollywood-headquartered empire of kinder, gentler celebrity and Internet gossip sites. The company announced today that it has purchased TheFrisky.com from TBS.
Launched in 2008, TheFrisky.com averages upwards of two million unique visitors per month and definitely already has the look and feel of other BUZZMEDIA websites like Go Fug Yourself, The Superficial and Just Jared. Per today’s press release:
“The Frisky has a trusted voice that millions have invited into their daily lives,” said Doug Rohrer, BUZZMEDIA’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Its users chase the intelligence, maturity and humor of its content, and this connection serves as the foundation for the high engagement and influence that are the core of BUZZMEDIA’s work.”
