This may be a new record. Sunday afternoon, the Twitter account @SeinfeldToday was playfully launched to showcase the strands of nothingness that might preoccupy Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer if their Thursday night NBC show was still on the air.

This morning, members of the Jerry-loving media were rushing to get the scoop and this afternoon (ET time), Atlantic Wire blogger Esther Zuckerman was chronicling the whole thing. A mere 20 hours in:

The man behind the account, BuzzFeed’s sports editor Jack Moore, started tweeting out scenarios with his friend, comedian Josh Gondelman, and then decided that the joke merited its own account. Moore is a Seinfeld fanatic himself: “I’m pretty much constantly watching episodes in the background while I’m doing anything,” he told us in an email. “I have a thumb drive with the whole series on it that I keep in my bag pretty much all the time.”

Stand-up comedian and actor Kevin Pollak is quietly closing in on the 100th episode of Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show, his freewheeling online subversion of the Charlie Rose round table model. For an atypical, non-live audience Halloween edition, he sat down with actor Jason Alexander.

The conversation is peppered with all sorts of great Seinfeld reminiscences. Recalled Alexander:

“When we did the 100th episode, NBC printed up the original test group results, which were the worst in the history of network TV… There was actually a thing that said, ‘Too hip, too urban, too Jewish.’ And I said, ‘Was there a Kyke meter? Oh, oh, oh… We’re on the brink. Too much… Too Jew-y.’”

Forget about last week’s ranking by Forbes of the world’s 100 Most Powerful Women. In a town overrun with male braggadocio, the Bald 100 honor roll shared this week by GQ is going to undoubtedly be a far greater topic of conversation.

Perhaps Vin Diesel can bank on the idea that he is the top west coast industry rep on the list at #5 to spark a fresh round of meetings. Better yet, the lanky actor should have his people call Ron Howard‘s people to share a laugh over the fact that the director sits at #6. Meanwhile, it’s too bad Larry David isn’t currently in production on Curb Your Enthusiasm; he clocks in at #10, a few slides behind Samuel L. Jackson (#7), as the fourth and final member of L.A.’s gleaming chrome dome quartet.

Tommi Lewis Tilden, the Green Carpet (we actually thought about typing muncher, but stopped, just in time) maven, leaps to remind us that Jason Alexander is just a big joker.

he was completely joking by saying Las Vegas is the eco capital–and it was my mistake not to put it in quotes, or I should have written: joked Alexander.

TLT goes on:

Jason and his wife Daena are huge environmentalists and he is fully aware that Vegas is not exactly a green city (except where money is concerned and I think that may explain his pun). It just happens to be where he’s headed for July 4, and he is an activist, so I wanted to include him in the column. AND I guarantee that if he does win any money, it will go to those causes.
