Fifteen years after being recognized in the LA Times by Roy Rivenburg as the “TV Listing of the Week,” a brief Wizard of Oz plot synopsis is getting a major new round of props thanks to Reddit and Imgur.

Jim Romenesko tracked down the author of the Kansas-busting logline, Rick Polito, who now resides in Boulder, Colorado and juggles a little freelancing with a lot of stay-at-home-dad duties. Polito wrote the cheeky summary during his years as TV critic for the Marin Independent Journal:

“It was just on Leno, it was a clue in a crossword puzzle, it showed up in Playboy, and people use it as their email signatures. Someday, I’m going to walk down the street and see it on a T-shirt and punch the person who’s wearing it,” he jokes.

The white silk dress that Marilyn Monroe wore in The Seven Year Itch sold for $4.6 million over the weekend, setting a record for movie memorabilia. And that isn’t including an additional one million for commission fees. The buyer of the iconic dress bid over the phone and remains unidentified, but there’s one thing we know for sure – we’re jealous as hell.

Monroe’s dress was one of hundreds of items from of Hollywood’s history that actress Debbie Reynolds had been collecting for decades, in the hopes of someday opening a Hollywood memorabilia museum. But that plan fell through, and Reynolds sold off her collection this past Saturday at an auction in Beverly Hills.

Other notable auction sales include Judy Garland’s dress from The Wizard of Oz for $910,000, and the ruby slippers for $510,000, and Audrey Hepburn’s ascot dress from My Fair Lady for $3.7 million. A full list of sales from the auction can be viewed here.

The combination of Rufus Wainwright and some classic Judy Garland songs proved to be an attraction that some of Hollywood’s elite couldn’t resist.

Thus, Wainwright’s Sunday night show at the Hollywood Bowl was a veritable who’s who of Tinseltown‘s gay bold-faced names along with some female celebs thrown in for good measure.

FBLA was in the mix in a big way with VIP seats just a stone’s throw from the stage (thanks, Michael), surrounded by all the town’s A-listers.

Seated directly in front of us – surrounded by a trio of pretty boys – was David Geffen, who often was the first to rise to two feet with an energetic applause.

And he wasn’t the only one. Also spotted in FBLA’s immediate vicinity were heavyweight industryites Barry Diller, Bill Condon, Donald DeLine, Laurence Mark, Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Hilary Swank (with John Campisi), WMA agent Rena Ronson, Bruce Vilanch, Ryan Murphy, Bruce Cohen, Dan Bucatinsky and others like Dita Von Teese, Ann Magnuson and Robert Gant

And though they may be power players, that didn’t stop some of the notable concert-goers – treated to Wainwright’s renditions of Garland’s beloved tunes, at times accompanied by his mother, sister and Garland’s daughter Lorna Luft – from letting loose and sneaking in some party favors.

Yeah, it’s true: FBLA saw what David Geffen was passing around – and it wasn’t a bottle of Pinot. We won’t out everyone we saw indulging in illegal yet typical concert behavior but you know who you are!
