Lydia Murphy-Stephans to Head Pac-12 Networks
Media veteran Lydia Murphy-Stephans was named the executive vice president and general manager of the Pac-12 Networks.
Murphy-Stephans will oversee the launch of the new series of college networks, hiring and managing a team to oversee and produce live events for virtually every sport on the 12 conference campuses.
Launching in time for the 2012 college football season, the Pac-12 Networks will be made up of one national network and six regional networks in conjunction with Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications and Bright House Networks.
Murphy-Stephans brings a wealth of experience to the Pac-12 Networks with stops at ABC (vice president of programming and acquisitions), Oxygen Sports (president and executive producer) and MSG Media (vice president of programming and production).
