Luke Ford was right all along. The Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa announced that he was, indeed, in a relationship with Telemundo anchor Mirthala Salinas. She even reported on the mayor’s separation from his wife (scroll down to the third video, above.) Talk about getting close to a news source!

And here’s the best part: Telemundo management knew about the relationship–the station moved Salinas off the beat nearly a year ago. David Zahnizer, in the LA Weekly, writes:

Salinas made her biggest splash last year when, camera operator in tow, she got a rare peek at the stash of toilet brushes sent to Villaraigosa after he delivered his famous “We clean your toilets” speech to a crowd of immigrants.

FBLA thinks Villaraigosa probably has no chance of being Hillary Clinton’s running mate. The LA Times helpfully points out politicans who’ve recovered from scandals, like Gary Hart. Oops!
