Anchor’s Failed Vin Scully Joke Results in a Profanity

By now, you’re well aware that Vin Scully is returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2013 for his 64th season.

Well, KTLA’s Rebecca Hall reported the story on Sunday’s broadcast and decided to get cute when describing Scully’s career:

“So for 63 years, he’s been the voice of the Dodgers, since Harry Truman was president. He’s described Jackie Robinson, the Brooklyn Bums, the ’55 champs, Don Larsen’s perfect game, Sandy Koufax’s four no-hitters, Fernandomania, Kirk Gibson and seven world championships. Phew. (wipes brow)  C’mon Vin, get your shit together! Is that all you got? … Get your stuff together, that’s what I meant to say.”

Whoops.

This is where you normally could watch the video but the Tribune interns have been pulling the clips from YouTube all day.

One will slip through the cracks eventually. When it does, look it up — pretty funny stuff.
