“The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Los Angeles celebrated its first wish of the 2010 Season of Wishes® campaign at The Grove with Rafael Espinoza, a 16-year-old wish child who was surprised with a custom made BMX bike and riding gear. Rafael, who though he was attending the event to raise awareness of his illness, Abdominal Sarcoma, was presented with his own custom bike, after he finished sharing his story with the crowd. In addition to the bike, Rafael, and the crowd, were treated to a show by a BMX trick rider, Shawn White, who executed difficult tricks and shared a few tips about BMX riding with Rafael.
