Censoring Images of Lindsay Lohan & Kate Upton Just Makes Us Want to Look

We had zero interest in the latest gunplay-themed photo shoot with Lindsay Lohan until we heard photographer Terry Richardson had, without explanation, suddenly deleted the photos from his Tumblr blog. If this was an intentional bit of media manipulation, it seems to be working. Richardson’s removal of the pictures is generating far more press than the pics themselves did.

Ditto for Richardson’s new video of model Kate Upton. YouTube banned the behind-the-scenes look at Upton’s recent shoot for GQ magazine, presumably because of the horror that is the female nipple. So of course we had to watch it. And it’s pretty damn tame, as you can see below. Not that Richardson should mind his work being removed from the site. The last time YouTube banned a Richardson/Upton video, the resulting publicity helped the “Cat Daddy” dance go viral, and god help us if we aren’t still watching it.

Christina Hendricks On The Cover Of Harper’s Bazaar

Christina Hendricks dresses up in tailored suits for the Harper’s photo shoot, and talks with the magazine about the agony of dressing dressy in Hollywood:

She notes the perverse pressure on actresses to turn up in designer gowns for one night only and the challenges when one can’t just slip into something off the sample rack. “You are expected to go to these things wearing fabulous dresses that are incredibly expensive, so it gets difficult,” she says. “I found myself at the beginning of Mad Men, because I wasn’t a sample size, spending an exorbitant amount of money on a nice dress that I would never wear again because someone would say” – she wrinkles her nose theatrically – “‘Christina Hendricks wore this dress twice.’”

Rolling Stone Or Barely Legal?

The cover of April’s Rolling Stone magazine is making us a little… uncomfortable. We don’t want to sound like prudes or anything, but- did they really need to have the 2 teenage girls suggestively licking an ice cream cone? Would you let your teenage daughter read that article? Have we become our mothers? Yeesh.

“[Terry Richardson] had some [giant balloon] hot dogs. I’m worried what’s gonna happen with the hot dogs,” Penn Badgley said upon arriving at the shoot. “I was thinking the exact same thing!” added [15-year-old] Taylor Momsen.
