TONIGHT: Book Party for Critter Literature Anthology Cherished

This evening Village Books of Pacific Palisades will be hosting a reading and party for Cherished: 21 Writers on Animals They Have Loved & Lost. The book, a highlight of the critter literature genre*, feature essays by noted authors that include Jane Smiley, Carolyn See, and Joe Morgenstern.

The event tonight will feature readings by contributors Billy Mernit, Samantha Dunn, Judith Lewis, and the Cherished editor, Barbara Abercrombie. Animals aren’t officially allowed, but we have a feeling there will be pups in the audience just the same.

7:30 pm, @ Village Books, 1049 Swarthmore Ave. Pacific Palisades. More info at the bookstore website.

*Is critter literature considered an actual genre? Let’s assume that it is, and that it must be what people are referring to when they talk about Crit-Lit.
