Your Weekend Twitter Flamewar: Bill Simmons vs. Keith Olbermann

Is Keith Olbermann going through attention withdrawal over at Current TV? Because he went out of his way to pick a fight with ESPN’s Bill Simmons over the weekend: right before the Heat vs. Celtics game no less. Olbermann called Simmons out on Twitter for a JFK assassination joke Simmons made earlier in the week.

Hmm. Too soon? Simmons wasn’t having any of it.

“Torrent TV?” Mehhh. Not so great. Olbermann came back with the last word.

Overall we expected better of these two. Both went for the jugular, but Simmons can do better in the cleverness department. A staple 80′s pop culture reference or two could have been helpful.

Olbermann, meanwhile, just kind of seems desperate for attention…which we’re giving him. So, though bitchy and pointless, we’d have to grade his tweeting effective.
