A Slow Week For The A.P.
It’s the week before Labor Day — traditionally one of the slowest news weeks of the year. Of course, there’s that whole Alberto Gonzales thing… But The Associated Press is chilling out and taking it easy.
A sample of The Associated Press’ day schedule, courtesy of the City Room/New York Times:
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tennis doubles champions Mike and Bob Bryan and other doubles players invite the public to play tennis with them; Three World Financial Center, near the marina.
Noon
Bob Saget signs DVD copies of his HBO comedy special, “Bob Saget: That Ain’t Right”; FYE, 1290 Avenue of Americas at 51st Street.
1 p.m.
Pinzon brothers, descendants of Columbus’ co-captains, announce purchase of Abracadabra Superstore; Abracadabra, 19 W. 21st St.

Busy day in the city, eh A.P.?
