Summertime and the re-packaging is easy.
On this Saturday’s edition of 20/20, a couple of previously, separately aired reports have been themed together under the provocative heading “Hollywood Vice.” FishbowlNY well remembers the March 29, 2013 profile of aspiring actress Meili Cady (pictured) by Elizabeth Vargas:
One day, Cady was introduced to Lisette Lee, a wealthy young socialite, and the two women formed an instant friendship. As time passed, Cady struggled to make ends meet – until her good friend proposed the perfect solution: take a position as her executive assistant.
The job seemed simple enough: transport luggage between LA and Ohio via private jet and don’t ask any questions. Cady says she had no idea that her troubles were just beginning. She had become a drug trafficker.
Appropriately enough, Cady just today tweeted the following quote from Gabriel García Márques: “Everyone has three lives: A public life, a private life and a secret life.” It will be interesting to see what kind of Twitter conversations she gets into following this weekend’s repeat airing. Definitely worth DVR-ing.
