Manhattan native Alexa Hirschfeld has won numerous accolades: She’s one of Forbes’ “Women to Watch,” one of CNN’s most powerful women entrepreneurs and one of Fast Company’s “Most Influential Women in Tech.” The co-founder of Paperless Post, however, says the key to being successful is to not actually think you’re successful.
“I’ve never taken that stuff seriously,” Hirschfeld said of her many awards. “Often, those things don’t matter; what matters more is getting things done. Also, what scares me is that awards and positive write-ups seem like the kind of thing that make you think you’ve made it, which I would never think.”
