Arianna Huffington Feted Again

New books and booze: the perfect combo

Arianna Huffington, along with her famous and not-so-famous friends, celebrated the release of her 11th book, Right Is Wrong last night at the swelteringly hot Domenico Vacca store on the Upper East Side. (Wait, weren’t we just at one of these?) Huffington, whose site will launch a local branch in Chicago soon, played host, while guests mingled amid fantastically expensive shirts, drank Veuve Clicquot and snacked on appetizers including bits of lobster.

In his typical dry wit, craiglist.org’s Craig Newmark said, “I think I’m the only customer service rep here,” and later quipped “I really am eye candy” when his presence was requested in multiple pictures. (No offense, Craig, but we think it might have something to do with you destroying the newspaper business instead of your striking good looks.)

After sweating through our shirt, we left. But hey, at least we didn’t get kicked out.

(Portfolio‘s Jeff Bercovici caught up with Huffington and asked her about Tim Russert.)

Pictures of the evening’s host with assorted friends after the jump.
