Did you know there was another organization involved in the certification of world records, besides name brand Guinness? Neither did we.
The Miami-based World Records Academy has today belatedly double certified the locally shot G4 program Attack of the Show as the confirmed progenitor of the world’s largest tea bag. The six-foot-by-four-foot, 151-pound item was unveiled and sampled on a recent edition by co-hosts Kevin Pereira and Candace Bailey, with a Guinness official in attendance.
Attack of the Show has previously gone after world records for largest arcade machine and smallest NES controllers. Meanwhile, the World Records Academy may want to do something about their less than earth-shattering Twitter follower count. At press time, their total of zero followers was lagging way behind Guinness‘ 4,797.
