Beckhams’s Debut Most Watched MLS Soccer Game In History

Who says Americans don’t like soccer? Perhaps all we needed was a pretty face two pretty faces to make us care. 1.5 million people — roughly 100,000 viewers for every minute the Metrosexual One played — watched David Beckham‘s debut for the L.A. Galaxy over the weekend. It was the largest audience ever for an ESPN-broadcast soccer game. If only Posh’s reality show fared so well.
