It's almost criminal that Jossip hasn't received more credit by now for its practically minute-by-minute updates of Wenner Media shenanigans reported from somewhere within Jann Wenner's own desk. In just the last eight days, the media gossip site has posted sordid exposes I mean, totally unfounded rumors about Rolling Stone photography director Jodi Peckman and her torrid affair with long gone managing editor Sid Holt, ousted publisher Steve DeLuca's own intraoffice flings with decidedly more junior staffers (including an intern!) and Gwen Cooper's firing three days after she signed the contract for her memoir Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves: The Memoirs of a South Beach Party Girl. And none of this has been picked up by the usual suspects. Head over there and wallow in the mud yourself.
Here are some photos from the Devil Wears Prada shoot near Rockefeller center, gathered by our intrepid reporter, Bianca Lopez. Staffers at 1221 Avenue of the Americas are being asked to be patient on certain weekends, as the filming takes place in their building. Apparently, 4 Times Square was unavailable....

Yes, more of same. But, aren't celebs just endlessly fascinating?

Here's one of "Andrea" crossing the street!
Suddenly there is only one story I care about right now: the fatal
stabbing of someone outside Teany at 9 a.m., which is around the corner from me and about a gazillion other people, many of whom I care about a whole lot. Gawker broke the story, complete with pics, and brought the sad update. I have been returning to Gawker like a tic, in between checking the NYT, NY Post and NYDaily News sites for breaking news. So far, nothing. Gothamist has it, and Ultragrrl has a sad and thoughtful post as well. It might be because the police haven't released any news just yet but that isn't the only news around: now is the time for tips to come in about similar experiences muggings, threatening incidents, etc. According to Gawker they are looking for witnesses; clearly they don't have a perpetrator. Which means that any information we all pull together can help catch the person who did this. This is a moment when I appreciate how amazing and important blogs are: bringing people information as soon as things happen, and helping to collect it will shape the way things happen going forward.
Ultragrrl broke the story. Sorry!
