Bobby Flay Joins Parade

bobby_flay_e1.jpgFood Network personality Bobby Flay is trying his hand at something outside the kitchen: starting January 31 the “Boy Meets Grill” host will be penning a monthly column for Parade, the most widely distributed magazine in the country.

Flay’s column, “Cook It!” will premiere with a Superbowl-themed piece and will launch the appearance of all of Flay’s recipes on Parade.com. Says Parade editor Janice Kaplan, “It’s fun to work with him, and we’re delighted to have him on our team.”

BOBBY FLAY NAMED CONTIBUTING EDITOR TO PARADE; STAR CHEF TO PEN MONTHLY
COLUMN OF RECIPES CALLED “COOK IT!”

New York — Bobby Flay, the critically acclaimed chef and restaurateur, best-selling cookbook author and television personality, has been named a contributing editor to PARADE, where he will write a monthly food column entitled ‘Cook It!’ The new column launches on January 31 with a Super Bowl party menu of Cuban treats inspired by the venue for this year’s big game in Miami. All of Flay’s PARADE recipes will also be featured on Parade.com.

“Bobby is one of America’s best-loved and talented chefs,” says PARADE Editor Janice Kaplan. “Having him share his recipes and food expertise in America’s best read magazine is a natural fit. It’s fun to work with him, and we’re delighted to have him on our team.”

A proven force in the culinary world, Bobby Flay is the owner of the popular and critically acclaimed New York City restaurants Mesa Grill and Bar Americain. Over the past few years, this native New Yorker has ventured outside of his hometown to open Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Bobby Flay Steak at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, Mesa Grill at The Cove, Atlantis in the Bahamas and Bar Americain at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. During that time, he also opened four locations of Bobby’s Burger Palace, where he presents an array of burgers inspired by his extensive travels throughout America and love of the grill.

Bobby appears daily on a series of Food Network shows, including
Throwdown with Bobby Flay, Iron Chef America, Grill It! with Bobby Flay and Boy Meets Grill. He is the author of nine cookbooks; his latest book, Bobby Flay’s Burgers, Fries and Shakes, was released in April 2009.
