Bonnier Grows Up With Working Mother Media Purchase

workingmothermedia09.26.08.jpgBonnier Corporation, which publishes Parenting and Babytalk, added a little maturity to its portfolio when it announced the acquisition of Working Mother Media, best known for Working Mother magazine.

Carol Evans, founder of WMM, will remain on as president of Bonnier’s Working Mother Group and will continue to oversee the eight-times yearly magazine as well as WMM’s other initiatives.

Terry Snow, Bonnier’s CEO, believes the brands fit together well:

“Bringing Working Mother into Bonnier’s existing portfolio of magazines is a natural fit. We already have two of the nation’s leading brands for moms in Parenting and Babytalk magazines, so the acquisition of Working Mother Media allows us to strengthen our foothold in the mom market and offer advertisers the most comprehensive variety of media platforms reaching mom consumers.”
