Brad Says He Didn’t Authorize Vanity Fair Cover Shot

vanity_fair_brad_pitt.jpgWell, we know editor Graydon Carter wasn’t going to put Borat on Vanity Fair‘s December cover. And despite his penchant for swimming — and shaving — in the nude, a Sumner Redstone cover probably wouldn’t sell well, either. But according to TMZ.com, it appears Carter’s cover choice, Brad Pitt, didn’t know the shots — taken by artist Robert Wilson in September 2005 for a video project — were going to be used for the cover.

Vanity Fair says they sent Pitt a letter. Pitt’s peeps say he never saw the letter.

Judging by the sultry results, all’s well that ends well, we guess.
