BuzzFeed’s Oldest Employee Remains Baffled

What’s it like being the 53-year-old elder statesman at a place like BuzzFeed?

Per Mark Duffy – a.k.a. Copyranter – it’s baffling:

I am old enough to be the father of nearly every other editorial employee.
And, these whiz-kids completely baffle me, daily.
I am in a constant state of bafflement at BF HQ.
In fact, I’ve never been more confused, day-in and day-out, in my life.
I am not being hyperbolic, for once.

After the heartfelt intro, this former advertising copywriter and 1980s-era print journalist rolls through the customary BuzzFeed list format. Number six for example is an old man illustration next to the proclamation that ‘Life Was Much Easier When Apple and Blackberry Were Just Fruits.’

Duffy and-or whoever helped him put the piece together are evidently big Clint Eastwood fans. The actor makes three separate visual appearances in the 23-item countdown.
