Carine Roitfeld’s New Magazine Unveiled

Carine Roitfeld has finally ended all the mystery revolving around her new magazine. WWD reports that the glossy will be titled CR Fashion Book, sell for $9.95, debut in September and be published by Fashion Media Group LLC. Each issue will carry a theme, such as “obsession,” which we don’t think has anything to do with those creepy Calvin Klein ads back in the 80s, but you never can be too sure.

More details on CR: The debut issue is 288 pages, there will be 50,000 copies printed and Roitfeld has promised to “find new ways to be irreverent” within the book. Also, Fashion Media Group’s founder, Stephen Gan, is officially drunk on Roitfeld Kool-Aid.

“Carine Roitfeld is one of the most talented editors in our industry,” Gan told WWD. “She deserves an editorial platform with which to express herself, and I’m happy to provide one. I hope it will enlighten. I hope it will build bridges not walls.”

If CR ends up merely a magazine full of nice pictures and clothes, someone please check in on Gan, okay?
