Report: LA Producer Shopping Paid Casey Anthony TV Interview

Marisa Guthrie, media reporter for The Hollywood Reporter, has some exclusive and rather unsavory details tonight involving Scott Sternberg, head of Raleigh Studios based Scott Sternberg Productions.

Sternberg, who declined to comment for the article, has reportedly been shopping an exclusive interview with the acquitted Casey Anthony for between $500,000 and $750,000. Without apparently too much success. Per Guthrie’s report:

According to sources with knowledge of the proposal, networks can choose the interviewer and Scott Sternberg Productions would co-produce the program. But so far, multiple cable networks have declined. Spokespeople for Discovery Communications’ TLC and ID confirmed that the networks have passed on the project. A&E Networks, which includes Lifetime and A&E, also has passed, says a spokesperson.

A rep for one of the most logical interview destinations, HLN, tells Guthrie they have not yet been approached and—like many of their brethren—insist they have no interest in paying for such an opportunity. So really, who does that leave? Maybe TMZ can haggle down the price and serialize the interview on both its website and TV show.
