CBS: ”This Is Katie’s Decision”
New York Times media reporter Bill Carter speaks to CBS Evening News executive producer Rick Kaplan on the eve of his anchor’s first trip to Iraq. Among the interviews that CBS News is seeking is one with the seven soldiers who signed a recent Op Ed for the Times. From The New York Times:
”’It’s a profound decision for anyone to undertake and it especially becomes significant for a single mother of two young daughters,’ Mr. Kaplan said. ‘Those aspects were weighed very carefully. This is Katie’s decision.”’
This move by CBS News comes in the same week the network announced one of their translators was found killed in the north side of Sadr City.
