CBS To Air Rather Retrospective Sept. 1

After Dan Rather‘s rather unceremonious exit from the network in June, CBS is set to air its promised tribute Sept. 1 at 9PM EST — the Friday before Labor Day weekend. Did anyone else notice that in the much-talked-about Gallup poll, Rather still gets more “favorable” ratings among American viewers than Brian Williams, Bob Schieffer and Katie Couric? Perhaps CBS can squeeze out a final ratings spike from the man they squeezed out.
