Changes At Two NYT Blogs

schan.jpgThe New York Times unveiled some big changes to its City Room blog this morning.

Sewell Chan, the metro reporter who helped found the blog in 2007, is leaving his post for a position at the paper’s Washington, D.C. bureau. Andy Newman, who currently runs The Local blog, will take over for Chan.

Meanwhile, at The Local, Newman explains that the blog will remain part of the Times but will now be integrated into CUNY’s graduate journalism program, where it will be managed by CUNY professors and run by blogger Annaliese Griffin, who’s currently senior editor at the blog Brooklyn Based.
