Yesterday Charlie Rose was honored for public service with the State of North Carolina Award. Gov. Mike Easley and first lady Mary Easley presented the awards to citizens of North Carolina who have achieved ”notable attainments” in the fields of Literature, Science, the Fine Arts and Public Service. The North Carolina Award is the state’s highest civilian honor.
