Chris Wragge, Philly “Bikini Anchor” Now An Item

News anchor romance is a damn entertaining soap opera when you have the right cast of characters. Take the case of Channel 2 news anchor Chris Wragge and Alycia Lane, an anchor for CBS’ Philadelphia affiliate. The pair are now an item according to the New York Post. But here’s the backstory:

  • Wragge is married to former Playboy centerfold Victoria Silvstedt, although they are currently separated.

  • Lane had a friendship (that might have been something more) with NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen. Eisen is married to ESPN on ABC reporter Suzy Shuster.

  • Lane sent pictures of herself in a bikini to Eisen’s e-mail.

  • Shuster intercepted the e-mails and wrote Lane a catty reply: “Boy, do you look amazing in a bikini . . . congrats! Whatever you’re doing, (Pilates? yoga?) keep doing it – it’s working for you. Anyway, sorry but those seven e-mails you sent to my husband, Rich, well, oops, they came to the e-mail address we both use from time to time, but no worries, I’ll forward the beach shots as well as the ones of you dancing with your friends on to his main address. Do you have it?”

  • Wragge, who previously knew Lane, contacted after the e-mail story broke. Now, according to the Post, “They went from e-mails to a torrid love affair. They have even talked marriage already. They want to be together but are afraid of what people will think because Chris isn’t divorced and Alycia is just divorced.”

And now the Post snapped exclusive photos… of Lane and Wragge walking the same dogs a few hours apart. Somewhere, somehow, a telenovela creator is watching and taking notes.
