In this weekend’s New York Times, the July 5 wedding of Huffington Post managing entertainment editor Christopher Rosen and MTV News writer-editor Kasey Wickman was wonderfully celebrated. Writer Vincent M. Mallozzi got all the colorful, publishable details, including this early courtship tactic from Rosen at Air America, where at the time he was a sound board operator and Wickman was an intern:
In the ensuing days, it became apparent that Mr. Rosen had taken notice of Ms. Wickman, too. He would often walk by her desk to get to a nearby water fountain.
“At first I thought, ‘Man, this guy drinks a lot of water,’” she said.
But Mr. Rosen had other thoughts.
“I really wasn’t that thirsty,” he said, laughing.
H-2-Oh no he didn’t! A variety of other media played a key part in the relationship, from Twitter and Facebook to St. Louis’ Riverfront Times. Our best wishes to the newlywed couple and our thanks to Mallozzi for capturing a love that was much stronger than Air America.
