A day after Laurie Cantillo resigned as WABC-AM program director, the Cumulus talker has tapped its temporary replacement.

FishbowlNY has confirmed that assistant program director, and Web program director Chuck Armstrong has been named on an interim basis.

Armstrong will be handling the day-to-day operations while the hiring process is ongoing.

Armstrong, who joined WABC in June, says, “I have been told until further notice.”

He adds there is “no current timeframe.”
