CNN, America know little about Pope
It’s the day after Cardinal Ratzinger’s Pope-morphosis into His Holiness Benedict XVI, and on the networks smoke is billowing and bells are tolling just like it was yesterday. CNN’s Kelly Wallace adds this insightful nugget:
“And something else we found: many Americans don’t know that much about the new Pope.”
According to a CNN/USA Gallup poll, nearly 50% couldn’t say “whether the new Pope would lead the Church in the right or wrong direction” (the other 50% could’ve sworn he used to be on “Cheers“).
