Behold the diametrical opposite to all that annual “it’s an honor just to be nominated” nonsense.
In a scathing YouTube video, Conan O’Brien‘s canine correspondent Triumph the Insult Comic Dog rips apart the six nominees for the first-year Golden Collar Awards category of Best Dog in a Television Series. Namely because he isn’t on the list:
The bow wow kudos, conceived by Dog News Daily, will be handed out Monday night at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in a ceremony live streamed on THR.com. Red carpet interviews will be co-hosted by that website’s editor, Joseph Kapsch. Not surprisingly, the trade has been leading the way with advance coverage.
In the wake of Martin Scorsese‘s successful campaign on behalf of his four-legged Hugo star, Triumph is demanding to also be added to the nominee rolls.
Update – 02/24/12: Triumph’s report from the Golden Collar Awards red carpet was shared on the Thursday February 23 edition of Conan.
