Confirmed: Layoffs at Imaginova
On Wednesday, we reported that Imaginova was laying off staffers. We just received confirmation from a tipster:
Imaginova has had two rounds of layoffs in the last two months.
The first round was eight. The second round last week was like a dozen more. Out of maybe 50 in NYC. Editorial was gutted, all marketing and PR is gone. Down to one designer and most of the programmers, ad sales and of course the bean counters and most of the suits.
The CEO [Daniel Stone] never got the company off the ground.
He “resigned” and cleared out his office over the weekend, sneaking out of town.
