The search is on for the best work by writers, broadcasters, bloggers and critics who cover showbiz.

Now it is more important than ever to show your best work — so enter the National Entertainment Journalism Awards, presented by the Los Angeles Press Club. Entries must be received by Friday, Feb. 6. Entry forms and rules are at

The awards honor the top stories and reviews of 2008 without regard to genre — whether its work about film, TV, music, or local theater. First place and runner-up awards will be given for best entertainment news story, best feature story and critic of the year in the categories of print, online, TV and radio. The entry fee is $35.

Based in the nation’s entertainment capital, the Los Angeles Press Club is a thriving non-profit devoted to excellence in journalism. The club has produced the Southern California Journalism Awards for 50 years.
