We’ve established that at least one editor at Esquire isn’t a jackass, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t another one somewhere in the Hearst building who is. The Sam Lipsyte lovefest continues with Home Land as the “Big Important Book of the Month” (p. 60). “It makes David Sedaris seem a little lightweight,” says Esquire. Or, as we’d prefer to paraphrase it, “It makes [our ex-contributor who left for our competitor, GQ] seem a little lightweight.”
