Digital Industry Vet to Help Tyra Banks Go ‘Type F’

On March 15th, Demand Media will launch, in partnership with Tyra Banks, a new beauty and fashion destination cheekily named TypeF.com. On board since last month as the venture’s general manager and senior vp is Lisa Kraynak (pictured).

Kraynak was a founding member of iVillage.com and senior vice president of digital media for NBC Universal from 2005 through 2009. She has also worked for Viacom and Intuit. Via the press release:

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to create a dynamic new branded consumer experience through innovative content, social media, and the inspiration of a powerful celebrity voice,” said Kraynak. “The new fashion and beauty capital of the world is now the Internet.”

Meanwhile, the welcome message posted by Banks at TypeF.com urges fans to “SMIZE (smile with your eyes)” as they get ready for the launch of her new website. “Smounds” like a plan.
