Details Makes Some Alterations To Their Layout

When the March issue of Details is released this coming Tuesday (Feb. 15) readers will notice a few modifications to the monthly men’s magazine.  The most significant change will be the introduction of a 13-page section dedicated to health and fitness known as “The Body.”  “The Body” will be directed by senior editor Tyler Graham and feature celebrity workout routines, a 30 days to better abs program, and nutrition themed columns.

The cover of the March edition will further emphasize fitness by featuring models Sean O’Pry, Arthur Kulkov, and Noah Mills. Details editor-in-chief Dan Peres explained his rationale behind the cover.

We wanted a cover that would really resonate and look a little different than the norm.  Model covers are so rarely done — largely because they’re not a very popular newsstand driver, I’m not blind to that — however I actually believe this will be one of our better selling issues of the year.

Other changes to the magazine include the cutting of The Dossier section and the launching of a redesigned companion website in April.  Details also plans to debut an iPad app in September.
