Details Expands ‘Mavericks’ Issue

Details’ “Mavericks” issue — which highlights influential people — has been a semi-recurring feature under editor-in-chief, Dan Peres. But according to WWD, the idea has been expanded to include three separate themes under the Maverick umbrella.

It all starts with the current Details, the Mavericks of Hollywood December/January issue. Then in April it will continue with the Mavericks of Social Media and in October, the Mavericks of Culture.

Details threw a party to celebrate the Hollywood issue (our invite got lost in the mail, but John Krasinski, Chris Messina, Lauren Miller, Josh Radnor and more were in attendance), and Peres was pleased with the turnout.

“Our party had celebrities, but they weren’t there just for the sake of having celebrities in the room,” he told WWD. “The greatest compliment that I got was that it was a great mix of not all obvious people.”
