Diddy is Launching a Music Channel

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the man who brought Biggie and Loon to the masses, is launching a video music channel titled “Revolt.” Please give yourself a minute to recover from reading Biggie and Loon’s name in a sentence (twice), and then continue.

Ready? Okay, good. Broadcasting & Cable reports that Revolt will launch on 12/12/12, and be available on Comcast and Time Warner. Along with Diddy, Andy Schuon, MTV’s former head of programming, is supposedly involved in the well funded venture.

Here’s what you can expect from Revolt: Lots and lots of music, sprinkled with some music news programs. In other words, it’s going to be a MTV throwback. The big difference is that Revolt will focus on “urban” music. That’s bad news for Danity Kane, good news for Dylan.
