Disney Adventures: 1990-2007

0823adventures.jpgGen Y kids, feel free to shed a tear for Disney Adventures. The magazine is getting the axe, courtesy of Disney’s decision to “focus on new magazine and book efforts” (cough High School Musical merchandising cough). There’s no word on whether the magazine’s editor or staffers will be offered alternate positions at Disney; publisher Mary Beth Wright will be staying on at parenting mag FamilyFun. Over on the Disney-watcher bulletin boards, they’re not mourning it that much. The mag was performing well enough, with a 4.5% increase on ad pages in the first half of 2007 and a circulation of 1.2 million. The last issue will hit stands in November… Feel free to indulge your Darkwing Duck nostalgia.
